[pelaut] Chief Officer DPO – Worldwide

 

Job description

As a Chief Officer DPO you are responsible formanagement / safety / maintenance and day to day running of vessel. You report directly to the Master.

Your work:

  • Ensure correct positioning of the ship, throughanchors or Dynamic Positioning.
  • Execution of (dynamic) ballast operations.
  • Attending DP trails and tracking DP checklists.
  • The preparation of daily progress reports (DPR).
  • Responsible for internal and external communication.

 

Job requirements

  • A Nautical College degree (MBO/ HBO).
  • Dutch Certificate of Competency and Seamans book.
  • In possession of a valid certificate of competence in accordance with STCW 95.
  • In possession of a valid dynamic positioning (DP) operator certificate unlimited.
  • Certificate of Competence Chief Officer all ships.
  • Valid STCW 95 Offshore Certificates.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and in writing (preferably proven by a Marlins test).
  • Leadership capabilities.
  • Communication skills.
